Recap: Gamers Gather To Celebrate 'The Art of Assassin's Creed 3'
On Wednesday, yours truly climbed out of the rabbit hole to attend, "Art Of Assassin," at New York City's The Hole on Bowery. The traveling art exhibit came to Gotham to showcase art exhibits inspired by themes from Assassin's Creed III. Hosted by DJ SKEE, art snobs, audiophiles and gamers were presented with fine alcoholic beverages and pretty dope pieces by some of the most distinguished contemporary artists in the country. A lucky few even got a chance to experience a hands-on demo of the Assassin's Creed 3 video game.
The artwork featured themes inspired by the game's new setting and sentiment. As our latest Assassin traverses a budding superpower during its moment of crisis, hero Connor fights to keep the Assassin's way alive during the American Revolutionary War. Get your history books out and make sure you keep an eye out when the game hits stores on October 30th.
With artwork all over the place from the likes of Mark Dean Veca, DualForces, Ariel Erestingcol, RaceCar 13, Artek, Justin Bartlett, Dora Drimalas, and Brian Flynn — the overall experience was captured on film by Brooklyn's own Jesse "MacGyver" Vega — and you can enjoy the brief recap within the images below.
