And Twitter Goes Wild: Spurs Spoil Kevin Durant's Debut, Smash Warriors By 29
Social media had a field day at the Warriors disposal.
Kevin Durant made his much anticipated Golden State Warrior debut Tuesday night at Oracle Arena (Oct. 25). It didn't go as planned, as the San Antonio Spurs spoiled the big night, throttling the Warriors 129-100. Kawhi Leonard dropped a career high 35 points and LaMarcus Aldridge poured in 26 of his own, as this game was over by half-time.

"We got punched in the mouth," said Draymond Green who added 18 points and 12 rebounds. "I don't know if it was quite a bad thing for us."
KD played well, putting up 27 points of his own, but did not look in sync with his teammates such as Steph Curry, who had a solid night himself with 26. Something just looked off with this team. It's going to take some time here to figure things out for the Warriors. Let's give the Spurs credit though, that is no slouch of a team over there, after winning 67 games last season.
248 days until Kevin Durant can opt out of his contract.

"It's a nice little slap in the face," said M.V.P. Curry. "First game you want to come out and protect your home court and have the energy of the home opener live throughout the game. We didn't do anything to let that happen."
