T.I. Gives Senior Citizens Free Turkeys At Annual Giveaway In Atlanta
Let's be thankful for T.I.'s continued civic acts of kindness.
T.I. gave senior citizens in Atlanta a reason to be thankful this year for Thanksgiving.
TIP hosted his 13th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway at the Adamsville Recreational Center for seniors in need on Tuesday (Nov. 20). The Dime Trap rapper was joined by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Councilman C.T. Martin, family, and friends to give away hundreds of turkeys to the elderly. Additionally, they also provided foods like apples, carrots, greens and peppers among other produce.
The event was made in partnership with Mr. Harris’ non-profit organization, Harris Community Works (HCW), which focuses on community development programs to help make things better for impoverished areas. He's also done a slew of civic duties like giveaways for free Black Panther tickets at a local Walmart, and has made Christmas visits to a half-way house where he once was upon getting out of prison, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
In addition to these efforts, the award-winning musician and actor also plans to help establish affordable housing in some of Atlanta’s rapidly growing gentrified neighborhoods. Earlier this year, he also curated a trap-infused museum, which pays homage to the music he helped create with his classic 2003 Trap Muzik album.
