On Performing Opening Night...
They changed front office, by the way. There’s a new regime, it’s not the old regime that had the old conflicts. I don’t want people to think “look, they went and got T.I., because they need to get the black people back on board.’ Some people might mistakingly think that’s what happened and that ain’t what it is. They just really want to show people they they are open to working together and creating synergy. I think that the people in charge have the passion. The CEO is from Atlanta. Before, [the team was run by] people just bought the team and approached it from a real bottom line, numbers, decimals, zeros type of business.
Trouble Mann or Nah?
We asked T.I. if whether the following NBA players could really hold it down, and cause “trouble” for opposing teams. Here’s what he had to say:
J.R. Smith is productive. He’s a role player, but he gets it done.
Lance Stephenson... from the Pacers? He got traded to the Hornets, right? Well then, obviously not (laughs).
Joakim Noah... yeah, he’s about that action. And his dad is a multi-platinum French singer (and a tennis player).
