Say What Now? The 43 Most WTF Moments Of 2015

December 31, 2015 - 9:06 am by Iyana Robertson TWITTER

Here's what not to do in 2016.

The year 2015 was filled with historical accomplishments, triumphant returns, and sources of inspiration, but it was also filled with a healthy dose of f**kery. As the universe upheld the balance between right and wrong, and righteous and ratchet, the good outweighed the bad – mostly. From lighter current events like questionable fashion choices and comical rap beefs, to heavier topics of racism and police brutality, there were many moments that begged the question: “What the f**k?”

As we head into the new year, all reflective and ready to write down our lists of #goals, we must also take a look back at what not to do in 2016. Donald Trump, stop the foolishness. Suge Knight, your shenanigans have finally caught up to you. Madonna, don’t go kissing folks out of nowhere. Raven Symone, think before you speak. Don Lemon, just stop everything. And Young Thug – well, we’re not really sure what to tell you.

For cautionary tales and good laughs, flip through these 43 WTF Moments of 2015.

When Big Sean's robber left an email address

Big Sean lost $150,000 worth of jewelry this year due to arobbery at his L.A. home. The focus was not on the money lost, however. The the real stumper was the fact that the robber left a note at the heart of the crime scene, seeking an email from Sean. After stealing a number of pieces, the burglars left behind a note, with an email address demanding Big Sean to contact him if he ever wanted to get his stolen items back. The address never checked out, which only has us thinking it could have been a fan taking their love capitalizing on a sick obsession. If it was a fan, why couldn’t they have written a weird comment on his Instagram photo like everyone else?

Birdman's highly questionable Angie Martinez interview

As Lil Wayne and his former mentor/Cash Money boss Birdman remained in midst of a beef no one anticipated, an interview with Angie Martinez made things all the more confusing. Birdman’s sit-down with the famed Power 105.1 host – part of which took place aboard a boat – was a real head scratcher. While Lil Wayne continued to declare his independence from Cash Money, the label’s CEO painted a different picture.“I see him every day. I don’t say nothing. Sometimes I go over there and listen to his music. I do go see him. I see him every night at the studio” was just one of a few quotes that threw everyone for a loop.

When the #BowWowHive assembled...

Bow Wow managed to become a trending topic online a number of times this year, but no one instance was more entertaining than the #BowWowHive. Sparked by the rapper/actor’s announcement of his return to the mic (“I gave these n***as a couple years to do what they gotta do as far as all these other artists in the game, and now it’s time”), fans and trolls alike began highlighting the rapper’s top moments. From his Ed Hardy phase, to his face-off against Lil Romeo, to his role in Like Mike, to his lyrics from 2001, Twitter users probably talked about Bow Wow more that day than they had in years. And it was highly entertaining, even to Bow Wow himself.

That time Cam Newton received an open letter

The Carolina Panthers took the NFL by storm this season by going on a lengthy winning streak, and they had their quarterback, Cam Newton, to thank along the way. As Migos crowned Killa Cam as the “Dab Daddy,” Newton’s end zone celebrations didn’t necessarily rub everybody the right way. One Tennessee mom made sure that Cam knew just how she felt about his in-game “antics” and that she and her daughter weren’t appreciative of his “pelvic thrusting” after the Panthers defeated the Tennessee Titans. In an open letter to Newton, the mom vented about how her daughter felt personally victimized by Cam’s dabbing, but the message seemed too descriptive to come from the point of view of a young pre-teen. Disturbing much?

When a fan broke into Chris Brown's home

Forget the Beliebers, The Beyhive, and the One Directioners. No one goes harder than Team Breezy. As if you need more proof than the cutthroat threats fans leave in the mentions of anyone who comes for CB, that was made clear when a crazed fan paid a visit to Breezy’s LA home. Truly inspired by Chris Brown’s artistic talent, one fan was moved to make some art of her own, painting his cars and an “I love you” note on the wall. The fan also threw Brown’s dog toys around the house and somehow managed to break the hinges of the front door. It’s safe to say, she might have taken it a little too far.

Ciara vs. Future vs. Russell Wilson

Future is a man that’s all about his business, but when it comes to Ciara’s relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, it’s a little bit of a different story–especially when baby Future is in the picture. The rapper isn’t all here for his former fiancé’s newest budding romance with the football star and didn’t take too kindly to seeing Wilson sharing some quality time with his son. Future even stated that he’d “slap the sh*t” out of some dude that was pushing him in a stroller and wasn’t his father. If that wasn’t enough, Future didn’t hesitate to express his content with a certain Gucci flip-flop meme featuring Wilson. Oh, Fewtch may be getting the award for being Mr. Petty Wap this year.

When 'Straight Outta Compton' wasn't playing... in Compton

In the epitome of irony, after the success of the hit summer film Straight Outta Compton, the city of Compton wasn’t able to bask in it because there weren’t any movie theaters in the Compton area. After taking a deeper look into the matter, a USC professor expressed that the area had become such a low income spot in California that it had gotten to the point of being heavily uninvested in. Thanks to the film bringing the sad fact to light, negotiations have been underway to finally bring an entertainment complex to the city.

When 'Cosmo' forgot who the First Family was

Cosmopolitan magazine took a big leap of foolishness in crowning a “First Family” for their November 2015 issue, and no, it wasn’t the Obamas. Instead, the publication took a total left and gave the Kardashians the coveted title. Once the cover was released, the Twitterverse went nuts and held no punches as they meme’d it up in voicing just how annoyed they were with the editorial choice. As folks try to escape the reality television family, the “First Family” title proved there will be more Kardashian maylay to come. Oh, what a time to be alive.

How life came at her fast in a cotton-pickin' minute

Valuable lessons in “think before you tweet” ruin your life at the blink of an eye, and 20-year old Isagenix intern Erika Escalante was one to find that out this year. After posting a racist tweet showing her and a friend picking cotton with the caption “Our inner n***er came out today,” life came at her fast After her failed joke was deleted, the screenshots had already gone viral. The health and wellness product based company Isagenix got a hold of the tweet and quickly terminated Escalante from her paid internship. Since then, Escalante issued an apology and steered clear of all social media accounts, but to her dismay, the damage had already been done. Welp.

That one time 'Deadline' had a problem with diversity

Back in March, Deadline writer Nellie Andreeva had the gall to write an article titled “Pilot 2015: The Year of Ethnic Castings About Time Or Too Much Of A Good Thing?” Making the argument that the upswing of diversity on TV has somehow been hard on white actors, Andreeva’s flawed argument included this statement: “there has been a significant number of parts designated as ethnic this year, making them off-limits for Caucasian actors.” And of course, we had to clap back. Here’s a tissue for your tears, Nellie.

Don Lemon's whole life

Don Lemon's whole life

Don Lemon hasn’t exactly been everybody’s cup of tea in 2015. The CNN broadcast journalist barked up the wrong tree one too many times throughout the year with his take on many controversial subjects. And if there was any power to petitions this year, Lemon would’ve found himself out of a job, thanks to over 40,000 signatures that wanted him off the air. From his take on the Spring Valley High School assault to even asking one of Bill Cosby’s alleged victims why didn’t they bite his penis, it was safe to say that many viewers had enough of the f**kery. Even though Lemon has dreams of becoming the next Malcolm X (if he weren’t a journalist, that is), 2015 was the year people were officially fed up with him.

All things Donald Trump

To say that the race to the White House has been one for the books, would be an understatement. But there’s one potential presidential candidate in particular that has been standing out more than the rest–and not necessarily in a good way. That would be Donald Trump. Yes, we’re indeed living in a day in age where this is being taken seriously, that The Donald could possibly be the president to succeed Barack Obama as the Commander-in-Chief. Whether it be trying to ban Muslims (while claiming that all of his Muslim friends are perfectly fine with him doing that), to being confident that he’ll collect 100% of votes from black people, Trump just left a vast majority across the nation this year with a big ‘Oh, really?’ Oh, and then there were these two black women who pledged their allegiance to Trump....

Drake and Meek Mill's "rap battle"

It’s safe to say, if you collab with Meek Mill or have any type of working relationship with him, you are required to either tweet his album or answer his text messages. Wale fumbled way back when and Drake followed suit, when he didn’t tweet Meek’s Dreams Worth More Than Money album. And fortunately for hip-hop, this sparked a comical rap battle. Meek jumped on Twitter, claiming that Drake uses ghostwriters. “Stop comparing Drake to me too… He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!” Drake responded with the diss track, “Charged Up,” daring Meek to counter it. Four days later, with Drake’s patience thinning in anticipation for a response, the OVO rapper released a second diss track entitled, “Back to Back.” “Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers/ Yeah, you getting bodied by a singing nigga/ I’m not the type of nigga that’ll type to niggas/And shoutout to my boss bitches wifin’ niggas.” The diss track earned Drake a Grammy nomination, making it the first diss track to ever be nominated.

A terrorist's deranged manifesto

The tragic slaughter of nine people at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC was a sobering reminder that race relations in America have come so far, yet not far at all. And as a mourning congregation attempted to wrap their head and hearts around the too-sad-to-be-true mass murder, the killer's thoughts were released online in a manifesto. Filled with hateful (and wholly inaccurate) commentary on the African-American community, Dylann Roof's essay gave the public a look inside of the mind of a monster with professions like: "The event that truly awakened me was the Trayvon Martin case. I kept hearing and seeing his name, and eventually I decided to look him up. I read the Wikipedia article and right away I was unable to understand what the big deal was. It was obvious that Zimmerman was in the right."

The escape artistry of El Chapo

When Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman escaped from prison for the second time in 15 years, America was split between whether or not he was a deplorable thug or a capital OG. The former group of folks include Donald Trump, while the latter include a host of rappers who have given props to El Chapo’s knack for evading the po-po. His latest escape was through a mile-long tunnel that was lighted and ventilated. No one can knock his ability to thoroughly plan. Also, he is still at large.

Funkmaster Flex's two cents on Drake vs. Meek Mill

When Drake is somewhere minding his own, it’s best to just leave him alone. Meek Mill was one who found out that his tweets were writing a check that he couldn’t cash when dealing with Drizzy this year. After an ongoing back & forth dispute between the two (which many deemed Drake as the victor), somebody else decided to jump on board of Team Meek Mill throughout the beef: Funkmaster Flex. As one who didn’t hide the fact that he’s not a fan of Drake’s alleged ghostwriter practices, the Hot 97 DJ took full advantage of the opportunity to try and hang the Young Money rapper out to dry. But since Meek Mill took the L in his beef versus Drake, does that mean Flex took it as well? Questions that need answers.

The curious case of Blac Chyna and Future

Future just might’ve had the best year of his career in 2015 and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, as he continues to drop a plethora of new music and visuals. But it was one video in particular that caught many off guard and dropped a few jaws: “Rich $ex,” featuring co-star Blac Chyna. As the video places ample amounts of PDA between the two o display, it was what happened beforehand that left everyone with the Nick Young meme face. Blac Chyna made a bold statement as she posted a photo on Instagram of a “Future” tattoo. It seemed she was proudly claiming the DS2 rapper as her new man, but Future was thinking otherwise as he dropped a tweet stating that he was single.

Kanye West acceptance speech/presidential announcement

It’s no secret that Kanye West is one to shock the world, and the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards was the perfect opportunity to do so. After receiving the Video Vanguard Award, Mr. West made a groundbreaking announcement: he’s running for president. So get your #YeezyForPrez hashtags, signs, and t-shirts all geared up because apparently, it’s happening. West was not in time for the 2016 elections, but that just gives us some time to prepare ourselves for what more than likely will be happening in the near future. We can’t rush these things people. We would like to think that the Obamas would approve.

That one time Kelly Osbourne tried not to be racist and failed

Unfortunately for The View, 2015 seemed like the year where the daytime talk show was just a pit stop for many to voice ignorance, and Kelly Osbourne was one of those people who took part in that. In a failed attempt to try and put Donald Trump in his place for trying to drive Latinos out of the United States, Osbourne put her whole foot in her mouth by insinuating that Latinos are just toilet scrubbers. Though Osbourne issued an apology shortly after the social media world caught wind of the foolery, it was a little too late. So much for trying to be on the opposing side of what Trump stands for.

This get-up Lil' B wore on ESPN...

It’s been a minute since Lil B appeared on ESPN’s Sportsnation looking like somebody’s grandma named Ethel, but to be honest, we’re still a little confused. The rapper appeared on the show to play a game of “Cursed or Not Cursed” and donned a lace get up, fully accessorized with chandelier earrings and a Sunday, church hat. Maybe Lil B didn’t realize “Curse or Not Cursed” is a segment about NBA players and not about revealing the secrets of family recipes and Mount Zion Baptist Church gossip.

That one time Lil Twist attacked a Nickelodeon star

When you think of Justin Bieber’s BFF Lil’ Twist and a former Nickelodeon star, you wouldn’t think a 25 year jail sentence would be anywhere in that equation. Unfortunately for Twist, that was the case. Actor Kyle Massey–best known for his days on That’s So Raven–and his brother Chris found themselves in the middle of an altercation with the Young Money rapper. After not taking too kindly to being asked to leave the premises of the Massey’s L.A. apartment, Twist took things to another level, only to find himself on the worst end of the stick. The rapper faced six felony charges for his involvement and faced the next quarter of a century behind bars.

Young Thug's love/hate for Lil Wayne

Young Thug has a special kind of admiration for Lil Wayne – you know, the kind where you love someone so much, you hate them. Shaking up headlines with a Wayne-inspired mixtape title (Barter 6), Thugger also issued public threats to the Young Money boss, who followed up with not-so-friendly words of his own. Young Thug was also mysteriously connected to the April shooting of Wayne’s tour bus; his road manager plead guilty and received a 20-year sentence for the incident. By September however, Lil Wayne appeared with a guest verse on Young Thug’s Slime Season mixtape. You do with that information what you will...

The Spring Valley assault

Kids using their cellphones may be prohibited in classrooms, but it certainly doesn’t warrant a response from a deputy officer. A student at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina became the victim of assault for the small offense. Officer Ben Fields went from 0 to 100 real quick on the young student for refusing to leave the classroom for her cellphone usage, and proceeded to take matters to an unnecessary level by grabbing hold of her neck, slamming her desk, and then continued his aggressive antics by dragging her. The video footage of the incident went viral and had many in an uproar at how behavior of that nature is continuously exhibited by those who obtain a badge with the purpose to “protect and serve.”

The New York Times' trolling

The New York Times' trolling

Meanwhile in racism and sexism, the New York Times seemed to have a good year in trolling black figures. More specifically, Serena Williams and Shonda Rhimes, two women who have undoubtedly dominated the headlines with accomplishment on top of accomplishment. For the black community, it’s nice to see representation in sports and entertainment, two industries that lack diversity, but NYT didn’t understand that sentiment. The Times published two separate articles bashing Serena Williams for her muscular physique and Shonda Rhimes for being the “angry black woman.” In the article on Serena, writer Ben Rothenberg wrote, “Her rivals could try to emulate her physique, but most of them choose not to.” Um, maybe they should “choose to” because that physique has 21 Grand Slam titles. It would be great to see the New York Times do better.

When 'Pimp My Ride' was exposed

Pimp My Ride had everybody dreaming that Xzibit would show up to their doorstep in hopes of getting their car tricked out, but those dreams came crashing down when the sad truth of not-so-reality television was revealed. The Huffington Post was behind the investigation in which it was found that little to nothing was real when it came to the MTV throwback. Though everything looked great on the outside–and even on the inside–after banged-up cars received a makeover, that wasn’t exactly the case for what was going on under the hood. So much so, that cars were still in bad condition thereafter. And remember those off the wall reactions from the contestants? Well those were fabricated too. After a few takes, the best staged reaction made the final cut to be aired on each episode. What a kill-joy.

That one time Plies got suplexed off stage

We didn’t know Plies was a WWE wrestler, and a bad one at that. At least, that’s what we would have guessed after playing and replaying what appears to be Plies getting his a** handed to him on stage at a Tallahassee concert. It all started during the rapper’s appearance at Club Coliseum, where he is shown in the video inquiring about a fan’s evacuation from the venue. After requesting the fan to be brought to the stage, Plies started to come at the fan saying that they were “too close to be two niggas.” Somehow that triggered the Super Saiyan in the fan, which ultimately resulted in Plies getting body slammed off the stage. Hate it had to be you, bih.

Rachel Dolezal's entire existence

Got a light-skinned friend that look like Rachel Dolezal… Got a dark-skinned friend that look like Rachel Dolezal… The revelation that the Spokane NAACP chapter president was born a white woman was a headline that evoked wonderment and laughter at the same damn time. As Dolezal vehemently "identified" as a black woman, the masses expressed outrage and produced memes at the same record rate. The news sparked a "trans-racial" debate, bringing to question whether folks could just decide to claim another race as their own. After months of full-on denial, Dolezal finally admitted that she was indeed white in an interview with the ladies of The Real.

All things Raven Symone

All things Raven Symone

In 2015, Raven-Symone said-out loud, on TV- that a genealogy study found that she was from "every continent in Africa." Every. Continent. In. Africa. Unfortunately for everyone, this was not the only painfully unintelligent thing that The View host said this year. Raven also came under fire for declaring to be "discriminatory" against names like "Watermelondrea," stating that she would never hire someone with said moniker. She also spoke on the Spring Valley assault on a black female high school student, taking the stance that she should not have been using her phone at the time she was slammed to the ground by a big, burly officer. Safe to say she didn’t make any “person of the year”lists.

Rich Homie Quan and his rape lyrics

Usually when someone says they aren’t something, they’re the exact thing they’re rejecting. But we’re hoping that’s not the case with Rich Homie Quan. Fans and feminists had a lot to say after the rapper released his song, “I Made It,” which featured a couple of alarming lines. The lyrics indicated his approval of rape saying, “I don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her/ She tried to resist so I took it from her/ How are you gonna tell me no? /You must not know who I am.” Not getting the memo that rape isn’t actually cool, Quan quickly tried to rectify the situation by apologizing for the single. But shortly after his apology, another track leaked, “Day 1,” which also detailed rape. “Chances ain’t shit if you don’t take one/ Mansion full of bitched, about to rape one.” The rapper countered this single by saying, “I’m not a rapist. That song was recorded in December 2012. I was young and just rapping. At the time, I had no guidance in my life. I blame it on that.” He also said he was “too little” to rape anyone.

The Instagram life and times of Plies

Let’s be clear, ain’t no Saturday bih, it’s Satday – at least that’s what it is according to Plies. Plies’ Instagram is just the gift that keeps on giving. Aside from branding a day of the weekend as “Sweet Pw***y Satday,” the rapper has provided social media with a lot of hilarious commentary. It’s not to say that his Instagram is rivalled with DJ Khaled’s keys to success, but it definitely has added something colorful and explicit to everyday life. And although it's a little ratchet, the Instagram spokesman has provided a great deal of pop culture news to his viewers. For example, if it weren’t for his daily news, some people might not have known there “ain’t no Bruce. It’s Caitlyn bih,” a couple of tips for “Chrima”(not Christmas), or how you should treat your lady on any given Satday.

SAE's racist chant

The year 2015 was yet another one during which racism ran amuck. Aside from the tragic deaths of several black people at the hands of police officers and domestic terrorists, hate was also employed for “fun” at the University of Oklahoma. Back in March, a video surfaced of members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity singing this chant: “There will never be a ni**** in SAE/ There will never be a ni**** in SAE/ You can hang him from a tree, but he can never sign with me/ There will never be a ni**** in SAE.” The leader of the chant later claimed it was “fueled by alcohol.” Not the disgusting epidemic of racism, but alcohol. Just another one of those moments that make you wonder, “What year is this?”

That one time people pinned a horse against Serena Williams

Sports Illustrated crowned the queen of tennis, Serena Williams, as the Sportsperson of the Year and people just wouldn’t let her be great. Sadly, with honor comes a dose of foolishness every now and then, and this time the Los Angeles Times was there to serve up as much foolery as possible in attempts to ruin William’s moment. The publication took to their Twitter to take votes in a poll on whether Williams or American Pharoah was more deserving of Sportsperson of the Year. Yes, American Pharoah the horse. This is where many thoroughly believed that the L.A. Times missed the memo that the honor is called Sportsperson of the Year and not Sports-animal. But as the true diva she is, Williams kept it pushing in her acceptance speech. Tread lightly, L.A. Times.

Suge Knight's shenanigans

Suge Knight's shenanigans

For every step forward, there’s usually a step back, and Suge Knight is the large step back. It appears everywhere there is suspicious activity, there’s Suge peaking out the bushes. The former Death Row label head has been the center of lawsuits, nightclub brawls, and experienced numerous allegations of being involved in someone’s death. None of the situations are anything to joke about, but only to say that it’s a little eerie to hear how things always come back around.

The McKinney pool party assault

This summer, we learned that pool parties are now prime locations for police brutality against black children. A heartbreaking incident in McKinney, Texas went viral back in June when a police officer went full-on supervillain on a group of teenagers. Running down the residential street, Corporal Eric Casebolt – a 10-year vet – was captured treating a possible case of trespassing as a bank heist in progress. The footage reaches a ridiculous peak when Casebolt is seen grabbing a teenage girl in a bathing suit by her head, pushing her face into the grass, and placing his knees in her back. As the young girl is pinned to the ground, he also takes a moment to draw his weapon on other teenage bystanders.

The Game's thirst trap

44

The Game's thirst trap

This post should probably read “For the Ladies.” 2015 must be the year of the nudes, because that’s all celebrities were offering up this year. While some were unwarranted, The Game in particular, posted a big (pun intended) thirst trap just for the ladies on Instagram. The West Coast rapper debuted his manly bits in a tight pair of briefs. As if being the topic of discussions in the hair salons wasn’t enough, The Game accompanied the post with a – let’s be real – erotica novel. With a series of hashtags that you might want to read with the screen totally dimmed down, Game detailed all the things he would like to do. But just as fans were getting all hot and bothered, to which they displayed publicly in thousands of alarming comments, The Game tapped out because you know, the Patriots game was on. According to his fans, the Instagram photo and its cliffhanger caption, warranted two WTF moments.

The "hall pass" to cheat

Toya Wright and comedian, Mo’Nique raised a few eyebrows after some very interesting revelations about their marriages. Apparently a “cheating pass” is the new wave amongst some, and Toya and Mo’Nique didn’t shy away from the fact that they both allow roaming around in their marriages. In Bravo’s Untying The Knot, Wright’s estranged husband, Memphitz, revealed that his wife lets him do whatever he pleases for 8 days out of the year with no questions asked. While on the other hand, Mo’Nique shared that she doesn’t feel the need to deprive her husband of seeking all that is supposed to be sacred outside of their marriage. But the real question for both and anybody that follows suit, is why even bother to get married then?

All things Kylie Jenner and Tyga

Does the “family friend” turned lover scenario ever get old? According to Kylie Jenner and Tyga, apparently not. The couple captured the Internet with their controversial love story. Kylie was a minor, calling Tyga "just a friend," but as soon as Kylie blew out the candles on her eighteenth birthday cake, “just a friend” was swapped out for “bae.” While Black Chyna was swapping spit with Future, Tyga was keeping up with the Kardashians taking over Snapchat and Instagram with Kylie by his side. For a brief second, the love story seemingly ended, but it was a false alarm as the two were pictured holding hands on their way to an after party. In regards to his girlfriend seven years his junior, Tyga says Kylie is very mature, a “big girl when she’s stimulated,” actually.

Vince Staples says the darnedest things

Vince Staples says the darnedest things

This year has been a mouthful for 22-year old rapper, Vince Staples, and that’s to say the least. The rapper hasn’t been one to bite his tongue and that definitely didn’t change throughout the course of 2015. He made quite a few bold statements from quoting Young Thug to be “one of the best,” to even suggesting that he might walk away from the rap game sooner rather than later. But there was one comment in particular that stood out the most from Staples and that’s when claimed the entire 90’s era to be overrated. Heads turned as soon as his words were said and even misconstrued, but he stood by statement firmly to simply state that it wasn’t a time period that could identify with or note back to some of his fondest memories. But we’re sure there’s a lot more where that came from as Staples steps into 2016.

40
44

The 50 Cent/Vivica Fox debacle

As we all head into 2016, it may be a good idea to let bygones be bygones and make amends with your exes. Because if you don’t then it could get real ugly like the full-fledged war of words between Vivica A. Fox and her ex 50 Cent. After Fox made an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, the actress made a lowkey hit below the belt by insinuating that 50 Cent was gay. But in true 50 Cent fashion, he wasn’t going down without a fight, as countered with a NSFW joke about Fox tossing his salad. Oh, how we could’ve went on with our lives without knowing that. Can anybody say, TMI?

The racism of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards could be described as many things, but "racist" stuck out as the operative word for many black viewers. Twitter users took their 140-character thoughts online to slam the award show for its insensitivity, namely for police brutality. In a supposedly comedic a presentation of the award for Best Hip-Hop Artist, actress Rebel Wilson made a joke about stripper cops, dressed in a shirt that read "FUCK THA STRIPPER POLICE." Not many were amused. This was all in addition to Miley Cyrus' dreadlocks and use of the word “mammy,” and Taylor Swift's video in Africa. So there's that.

The lucky owner of the million-dollar Wu-Tang album is...

In all things that are odd, this just might’ve took the cake. Pharmaceutical CEO, Martin Shkreli–who was responsible for jacking up the price for an AIDS drug from a mere $13.50 a pill to an insane $750 a pill–was the person who became the owner of the million-dollar, once in a lifetime Once Upon A Time In Shaolin Wu-Tang Clan album. The one of a kind album came equipped with 31 tracks, a leather bound 174 page lyric book, all wrapped in a hand carved box. But many wonder what would a pharmaceutical CEO possibly know about the Wu? Well Shkreli cited Shakespeare as his beginning of becoming appreciative for the art of rhyming and the rest was history. YG's version of the Sistine Chapel

Well rapper YG couldn’t be the one outdone this year as he joined the company of Birdma in the head tattoo department. And when we say that YG went all the way, he went the distance. The Compton native went ahead and got his whole head tatted up but in the most religious way possible. YG will now walk around sporting The Virgin Mary on his cranium accompanied by the scripture: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” We can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time and pain endured it took to get the type of masterpiece. No pain, no gain right? Bless up.

When Madonna planted a wet one on Drake

At this year’s Coachella festival, no moment stood out like the most awkward kiss of the year. As Drake continued running circles around festival season, he tapped a legendary guest for this particular occasion: Madonna. After performing his ode to the 58-year-old pop icon, the singer made her way to the stage for a rendition of her classic, “Human Nature.” All was well and good until Madonna opted for a dramatic exit, slathering a wet kiss on Drizzy’s unsuspecting lips while proclaiming, “B***h, I’m Madonna.” The rapper’s reaction–one that would live on in infamy through memes–was very similar to everyone’s: “WTF?”
